RoDTEP Rate List 2026: Appendix 4R and 4RE

Every RoDTEP rate and value cap, 10,872 tariff lines in each schedule, with every DGFT amendment since the base schedule applied, in force to 31 December 2026 under Notification 41/2026-27. Download it as a workbook, a CSV or a PDF.

Download the RoDTEP rate list

  • Excel workbook (1.2 MB): a read-me sheet, Appendix 4R, Appendix 4RE, a summary by chapter, and the lines omitted since the base schedule. Filters and frozen headers set; HS codes kept as text so a leading zero survives.
  • PDF (965 KB): both schedules side by side, chapter by chapter, for printing or sending to a client.
  • CSV (2.1 MB): one row per tariff item with both appendices, for loading into an ERP or a spreadsheet of your own.

Each line carries the eight digit HS code, the heading it sits under (so a line the schedule describes only as “Other” still reads as something), the description, the unit of quantity, the rate as a percentage of FOB value, the rate in the schedule's own words, the value cap in rupees per unit, and the DGFT notification that set that line. To work one shipment with the cap applied, use the RoDTEP calculator.

Where the RoDTEP rate list stands today

DGFT Notification 41/2026-27 dated 30 September 2026 continues the scheme from 1 October 2026 up to 31 December 2026 for exports by Domestic Tariff Area units, Advance Authorisation holders, SEZ units and EOUs, and provides that the existing rates and value caps in Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE, as applicable on 30 September 2026, continue unchanged. So the rates in these files are the rates for every export in that period. Nothing extending the scheme beyond 31 December 2026 has been notified; the DGFT notification register is where a continuation would appear, and this list is rebuilt when it does.

Across Appendix 4R, 10,747 of the 10,872 live lines state a percentage, from 0.01% to 3.9% of FOB value, and 1,593 also carry a value cap. The rest are printed as an amount per unit or as Nil, and are given in those words.

How the schedule was put together

The starting point is the base schedule DGFT published with effect from 10 October 2024: Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE. Three alignment notifications have since added, deleted or re-described tariff lines as the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 was amended, and each is applied in date order. Notification 06/2026-27 separately corrected the description of tariff item 7318 15 00, and that correction is applied too.

Rates that were cut to half for part of February and March 2026 and then restored are given at the full notified level, because that is what is in force; the history is on the RoDTEP scheme page. Lines an alignment notification deleted are listed on their own sheet in the workbook, with the notification and the date, rather than left out silently.

How it was checked, on 26 October 2026: every line of the workbook, the CSV and the PDF was re-read against the schedule this site serves; a random 1,000 lines were compared, rate and cap, with DGFT's own Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE; and all 746 entries set by the three alignment notifications were compared with the annexure that set them. Every one matched.

Common questions about the RoDTEP rate list

Where can I download the latest RoDTEP rate list for 2026 as a PDF?

On this page, as a PDF, an Excel workbook and a CSV file, free and without sign-up. All three carry Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE with every DGFT amendment since the base schedule of 10 October 2024 applied, and they are rebuilt whenever the schedule changes. DGFT's own website publishes the base schedule and the amending notifications separately, so the consolidated position has to be assembled by reading them together.

Have RoDTEP rates changed for October to December 2026?

No. DGFT Notification 41/2026-27 dated 30 September 2026 continues the scheme up to 31 December 2026 and provides that the existing rates and value caps in Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE, as applicable on 30 September 2026, continue unchanged during that period. The rates in these files are those rates.

What is the difference between Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE?

Appendix 4R is the schedule for exports made from the Domestic Tariff Area. Appendix 4RE is the schedule for exports by Advance Authorisation holders, Export Oriented Units and Special Economic Zone units, and it carries its own rates and caps: lower than Appendix 4R on 10,579 lines, equal on 168, and higher on none. Which one applies depends on the exporter and the authorisation, not on the goods. The workbook has one sheet for each.

How do I read the rate and the value cap on a line?

The rate is a percentage of the FOB value on the shipping bill. Where a line also states a value cap, the cap is in rupees per unit of quantity, in that line's own unit (UQC). The credit is the lower of the two figures: rate times FOB value, and cap times quantity exported. A line printed as an amount or as Nil carries no percentage, and the files show it in the schedule's own words rather than converting it.

Is this an official DGFT document?

No. It is a consolidation compiled by Scriphouse from DGFT's published Appendix 4R, Appendix 4RE and the notifications that amend them. The notified appendices govern, and where this list and a notified appendix ever differ, the appendix is right. It is not legal or classification advice.

What the scrip is worth

The rate decides how large a RoDTEP scrip is when it lands in the exporter's ledger on ICEGATE. What it is worth in cash is a separate question: how the sell side works, and how the rate turns into the value of a scrip. For a garment or made-up line, see RoSCTL.
